Tallow + Tea Tree
Face Wash

$14.00

Real soap is made through saponification — the chemical reaction between fats and alkali that creates genuine, natural cleansing. Most commercial "face wash" isn't soap. It's synthetic detergent derived from petroleum. Your skin responds by overproducing oil to compensate. The cycle continues.

This one doesn't do that.

Use within 4–5 weeks of opening • Store in cool, dry place

What's in This Jar

Grass-Fed Tallow
The foundation. Rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, and closely resembles the oils your skin already produces. Using real fats stops the skin from overproducing oil and creating a dependency cycle.
Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
Adds lather and antimicrobial lauric acid. Cleanses without stripping.
Jojoba Oil
Nearly mirrors human sebum at the molecular level, making it the most skin-compatible plant oil available. Non-comedogenic.
Castor Oil
Adds slip and draws moisture to the skin.
Tea Tree Essential Oil
Strong natural antimicrobial properties. Clinically supported for topical antibacterial and antifungal action.
Potassium Hydroxide (KOH)
The alkali used in traditional saponification. No residual lye remains in the finished product — it is completely consumed in the chemical reaction that creates soap.

How to Use

  1. Wet face with warm water.
  2. Scoop a dime-sized amount into palm.
  3. Work into a lather between your hands.
  4. Massage onto face for 30–60 seconds.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with cool water.
  6. Follow with a moisturizer if needed.

Traditional Saponification

Saponification is the chemical reaction between fats and a strong alkali (KOH for liquid soap) that produces genuine soap molecules and glycerin. The process has been understood for over 2,000 years. Modern industrial "cleansers" replaced this with petroleum-derived surfactants optimized for shelf stability and cost — not skin health.
